The senior center suffered a torn ligament in her elbow that will require season-ending surgery, the school announced Friday morning.

Records fell Saturday as the Prefontaine Classic finally returned to Hayward Field after a three-year absence due to stadium renovation and COVID-19.

There are 15 events on Saturday’s Prefontaine Classic schedule, and Olympic medalists from Tokyo are on every start list.
