JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes remembered the Florida workers on a call Tuesday. He previously announced six employee deaths related to the virus.

The FAA’s emergency Airworthiness Directive, sparked by concerns about dual engine failure, does not apply to the grounded Boeing 737 Max.

Southwest CEO Gary Kelly called the industry’s rocky climb out of the coronavirus crisis “a saw-toothed slog.”

Southwest said the customer reaction to its seating policy has been “very positive.” Delta said it plans to extend its policy beyond Sept. 30.

The airline is adding flights to vacation spots like Florida and Hawaii from Southern California, Seattle and Portland as leisure travel rebounds.

Under the new alliance, the airlines will feed each other passengers on flights to and from New York and Boston.

Delta CEO Ed Bastian said the airline’s surveys show blocked middle seats are the top reason travelers are buying Delta tickets today.

The state had planned to allow out-of-state travelers on Aug. 1 if they presented a negative COVID-19 test. That has been pushed back to Sept. 1.
